In the periodic table, the rows are called periods. Along the rows, the elements are organized by atomic number (the number of protons.) The rows also have the same energy level or the number of electrons. For example, in the first row, all of the elements' atoms have one energy level, and so on.The atomic mass is the number of neutrons plus the number of protons. The atomic mass can be a decimal, and it is ordered increasingly. The columns in the periodic table are called groups or families. Each family has a name. Powder experiments

This is the last Experiment that we did in class BS=Baking Soda BP=Baking Powder CT=Corn Starch D=Detergent ?=The Unknown Summary: This week we have been working with different crystals, granules, and powders. We have also used some other materials that are not granules to do the experiment, like detergent! There was also a powder labeled unknown. We don't know what type of powder, or granule it was, so we have been doing different tests to figure it out. Some of the powders that we have include: Sugar Salt Epsom MSG Baking Soda Baking Powder Detergent Corn Starch We have been trying to figure out the unknown for a while. We have used some of our senses: Eyesight Hearing Touching Observing The way we used our eyesight to figure out what the unknown is observing. We put each sample of the powders on a paper, and wrote notes about them while observing. We looked at our observations to see if the Unknown had any of the same properties as any ot...

We watched a video about the food chain, and then we had to answer a few questions. First you need to know that food chains always start with plants and end with animals. But remember, humans are animals. Humans are usually at the top of the food chain. But that does not means that they are always at the top, what if a lion ate the human! Then the lion would be at the top of the food chain. There are different types of food chains.
